The North Queensland Golf Passport

Australia's First Golf Passport! 5 golf courses in the Tropical North have combined efforts to introduce Australia's first regional Golf Passport.

The Golf Passport is a culmination of a 12-month working group comprised of golf club managers representing golf courses between Cairns and Port Douglas.

"The clubs have been looking for innovative ways to work together as a holiday golf destination, and offer visiting golfers both value for money and a great golfing experience" said Geoff Hall, General Manager of the Links Golf Club. "It makes sense for us to offer a golf passport when most of our visiting golfers play several games of golf whilst here in the tropics."

Tropical North Queensland Golf Clubs involved in the Golf Passport include Sea Temple (formerly The Links), Mirage (Port Douglas), Paradise Palms (Kewarra Beach), Half Moon Bay Golf Club (Yorkeys Knob), Mareeba and Cairns Golf Clubs. Selected holiday apartments are also currently preparing accommodation and Golf Passport deals.

All participating golf clubs are within an hour's drive of each other, and each offers a remarkably different playing experience.

The Golf Passport sells for $295, which includes four games of golf; two rounds at any of the championship courses included in the passport in the region, and 2 rounds at one of the member courses in the area.

• Championship Courses: Sea Temple Golf Club, Port Douglas (formerly The Links), Sheraton Mirage (Pt Douglas), Paradise Palms Golf Course (Kewarra Beach). a motorised buggy is included at these courses
• Public Courses: Half Moon Bay Golf Club (Yorkeys Knob Beach), Mareeba Golf Club (with kangaroos on the course) and Cairns Golf Club.

The Golf Passport is easy to use with vouchers for each round. Each golf course's contact details are listed on the vouchers to ensure golfers can make their preferred tee time reservations with ease.

The golf courses have offered reduced green fee prices through the Golf Passport, providing excellent value for money.
